Job Status:

This position is a full-time position and will be working in multiple Wexford West Region Markets; including Phoenix, Sacramento, Seattle, and additional locations in the West. It is anticipated that this position will require upwards of 25% travel time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience. Job Description Summary:

Working in collaboration with the West Region Development Team and reporting to the Senior Director, Project Management of Development – West Region, the position will be responsible for project managing the following aspects of the development process:

  • all scheduling and coordination for the Project;
  • active record keeping from workshop meetings;
  • owner of all Project-related documents and project processes;
  • host weekly meetings with all Wexford colleagues to report out updates, push for decisions on open questions, and ensure transparency across different disciplines in the Project;
  • facilitating and closing out the day to day Project needs related to design, construction, legal and underwriting;
  • relationship management with our University partners;
  • facilitate creation of marketing collateral and analysis to support our company-wide marketing approach;
  • point person to ensure all permits to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) are appropriately submitted, tracked, and received for stamped permit sets;
  • market research and documentation related to leasing;
  • maintaining documentation and project managing related to property management;
  • among other responsibilities for Wexford’s projects in the West Region.

The ideal candidate does not need to have a background in development, design or construction. Effective analytical, administrative, judgment, problem-solving, decision-making, communication (verbal and written), and professional presentation skills are required.

Preferred skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 2-4 years minimum work experience
  • Previous project management work experience
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, internal and external
  • Experience with sales, preferably leasing and managing strategic relationships
  • Proven ability to collaborate regularly with team members, partners, and clients, including research functions to capture market data and present content
  • Strong ability to problem-solve with the ability to work effectively, efficiently, and independently in a deadline-driven, dynamic office environment
  • Ability to maintain project schedules and produce timely, high-quality deliverables
  • Possesses the highest degree of integrity
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Internet and the Microsoft
  • Office suite of programs, in particular, PowerPoint, and creating effective presentations
  • Must be able to adapt to ever-changing technology
